Nerja, at the foot of the mountains at the eastern end of the Costa del Sol, lies just 45 minutes from Malaga. Malaga Airport lies along the new main highway. Balcon de Europa, Nerja’s centrepiece, is a palm promenade with superb views of the coastline. There are no modern high rise developments to mar Nerja’s character. There is a handful of small sandy coves within the town itself and the main Burriana Beach is only 5 min walk from the bungalow (excellent sea view from bungalow roof terrace). The town centre is 15/20 minutes walk away and holds are a large variety of lovely restaurants and bars (including Tapas Bars).
